See detailsHolmes Chapel is a village-sized place surrounded by countryside. Walks along the River Dane, quiet farm lanes and public footpaths start from the edge of the village, and Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve, with its lake and woodland, is only a short drive away.
Always follow local signs about leads, especially near livestock, wildlife and play areas, and pick up after your dog.
From the village to Cranage, Brereton, Goostrey and Twemlow, local dog businesses on Dog Ppl cover the whole area. Look for someone who meets your dog before the first booking, is insured, and is happy to tell you exactly how they work: group sizes for walks, where dogs sleep for boarding, and what products a groomer uses.
Most dog walkers in Cheshire and Staffordshire charge somewhere around £12 to £18 for a group walk of about an hour, and more for a solo walk. Prices vary, so always check with the walker. See our dog walking guide for more.
Yes. In England, anyone offering dog home boarding or doggy day care as a business must hold a licence from the local council. For Holmes Chapel that is Cheshire East Council. Ask to see the licence and its star rating before you book.
