Puppy classes, group classes or 1-to-1?
Puppy classes are great for socialising and the basics. Group classes suit everyday manners and recall. 1-to-1 sessions are best for specific problems, or for dogs who struggle around other dogs.

- Reward-based, force-free methods. Avoid anyone using shock, prong or choke collars.
- Membership of a professional body, such as the APDT, IMDT or ABTC register.
- Clear plans, homework you can follow, and help between sessions.
- For serious behaviour problems, a qualified behaviourist working with your vet.
